MEET THE ARTIST: Angela M. Colón-Rentas

Angela M. Colón-Rentas is a Puerto Rican Artist and authentic mirror-writer (reversed writing). Raised in Rochester, New York she is a Credentialed Professional Youth Peer Advocate and Adult Peer in New York State. As a professional she's stiving to help break the mental health stigma by using her voice to embrace hope and policy change, via her lived experience and advocacy efforts. She hope to bring awareness and empowerment to minority communities close to home and all around the world.

She's a mother of two, a nature and stellar enthusiast, poet, author, artrepreneur, and a curious old soul. 

As a human, humbly, she hopes to leave a legacy behind for her daughters and the world to remember. The first renowned, Puerto Rican Woman Mirror-Writing Artist. 

Born in Guyama Puerto Rico, 7/7/1993; 7 years to the new millennium, she embraces dearly her Boríken culture. Being raised in Rochester, New York she also embraces in the New York culture. Both, always close to her heart and soul. 

Since learning to write, she never lost her ability to habitually mirror-write, like infamous painter Leonardo DaVinci once did in his era over 500 years ago. Growing up, art was her escape and coping mechanism. She is now combining both her natural talents into beautiful, one-of-a-kind masterpieces for the world. Her Power-of-Words-Series is a unique series due to them being inspired by her genuine thoughts and emotions, unlike the other series that are preordered and then created.
